About ThurstonAI

ThurstonAI is a Thurston County pilot initiative organized through American Marketing Alliance SPC — a Washington Social Purpose Corporation focused on building shared local infrastructure for coordination, visibility, and economic activation.

The initiative

ThurstonAI is not a software company. It is not a startup seeking venture capital. It is a structured initiative to determine whether Thurston County can benefit from a shared local AI-enabled operating system — one that helps organizations coordinate better, surface more opportunity, and reduce the cost of fragmentation.

The initiative brings together nonprofits, chambers, civic institutions, local businesses, and community partners around a common question: can we move faster and more effectively together than we can separately?

The answer to that question will be determined by the pilot — not by theory, not by technology, but by whether real organizations experience real value from participating.

About American Marketing Alliance SPC

American Marketing Alliance SPC was founded in 2020 as a Washington Social Purpose Corporation. The SPC structure matters because it requires the company to consider the impact of its decisions on its stated social purpose — not just shareholder return.

AMA SPC's social purpose is to build shared local infrastructure that helps communities coordinate more effectively, surface more local economic opportunity, and reduce the systemic fragmentation that wastes time, money, and potential across local organizations.

Shared infrastructure over proprietary platforms

Building tools and systems that serve the local ecosystem, not extract from it.

Trust over speed

Moving at the pace that allows genuine community alignment, not artificial urgency.

Local benefit over external extraction

Ensuring that value created locally stays local and circulates within the community.

Human control over autonomous systems

AI assists and accelerates. Humans review, approve, and decide.

The founder

I founded American Marketing Alliance SPC in 2020, just before COVID disrupted the event and community economy. The original need did not disappear, but the timing did.

Since then, I have continued developing the strategy and substantially upskilled in AI, LLM workflows, and end-to-end cloud-native product development. What makes this moment different is that AI now makes it far more practical to operationalize a shared local system than it was even a few years ago.

My background includes:

  • Work in and around the Chamber of Commerce
  • Local sales and marketing experience
  • Extensive nonprofit fundraising and event coordination experience
  • Direct exposure to the “Marketing Burn” from both the buyer and seller side
  • Strategic design of the AMA hyper-local AI operating system and Community AI Gateway concept

The AMA Network

ThurstonAI is part of the AMA Network — a connected set of AI-enabled local systems for visibility, opportunity discovery, sponsorship coordination, and community advantage.

The network includes tools for event discovery, business calendar coordination, local marketing support, and community-level AI assistance. ThurstonAI provides the civic trust layer that connects these systems to local organizations and community stakeholders.

BusinessCalendar.ai

Unified business event calendar and scheduling coordination.

Funlist.ai

AI-curated community event discovery and promotion.

LocalMarketingTool.ai

Local marketing and sponsorship opportunity marketplace.

ThurstonAI.com

Civic trust layer and community coordination gateway.
